Fingerprints On The Heartstrings
Enid Eileen: Our Grace-Bringing Peace
Twenty Two Year Ago My Mom went home to Her Reward.
Thirty Seven Years prior to that there was a little neighbour boy who needed a home. Enid, and Vic, took him in and gave him a home.
They become His Momma and Daddy, and provided Him a home.
I was that little Boy!
She had become my Mom and I was blessed to sit and hold her hand the day she went to Her reward, and many times before. Today, 22 years after Momma went to Her reward I have created these two songs. They’ll be playing On Air at CountryAirRadio.com because these are the types of heartfelt songs, and stories, and memories, that I believe this World needs to hear and remember in these sometimes difficult days.
The first, Enid Eileen Our Grace-Bringing Peace
The Second Song is the same as the Title of this Article
Fingerprints On The Heartstrings
I can’t take full credit for these songs, I say I created them, and I did.
I wrote the original words, heartfelt, tearful, and probably way too personal for a public song. I, unfortunately don’t have the skills to sing or compose the music but that doesn’t make the words and the sentiment any less heartfelt. Nor does the fact that I used AI to create the songs. I use Songer, and if You’d like to try it … (Visit Songer Here )
I love using Songer to turn my poems, writing, and thoughts into Music.
These are few pictures of Mom …
We didn’t know this until we saw this picture, but the original picture lists the players and Mom is on the bottom right. The Halifax Civies.
The next is of Mom and Dad, before they married, when she worked at Stadacona in Halifax in the Secretarial or Bookkeeping Division with Her friend, Myrna White, later Myrna Ellis, while Dad and Paul Ellis served in the Canadian Navy during World War II.
Mom and I standing in a garden I grew in a field next to Mom and Dad’s.
Dad and Mom standing between the Kitchen Wood Stove and our Fridge. A place Mom could often be found as she prepared Mel’s and baked goods for our family and others.
Finally, Mom, standing with Her Bible, for it is for it She stood.
It was with undying love and loyalty She faithfully served Her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ and Her favourite Bible verse was “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." Philippians 4:13
The Day Mom went to Her Great Reward, I sat and held her hand. I’d never heard of someone “Waiting for Permission” but I was able to be there, with Her, at the end. What happened there, was one of the most difficult things my heart nas ever encountered…
It was also one of the Best!
I have no doubt that there is something more, Life doesn’t stop at Death’s Door! As Mom believed, Jesus dies for our Sins and gives us Eternal Life with Him. What I witnessed that day leaves no doubt that life goes on! Where we spend it depends not on our works, but God’s Grace. Christ’s Plan of Salvation, and our Acceptance of it.
